Primary Runoff Elections Today

Voters are now hitting the polls for primary run-offs in several coast cities.
The secretary of state’s office is reminding voters these elections are only for the party you’re registered in.
And that if you didn’t vote in the Initial primary, you can still vote in today’s runoff elections.
Winners of some runoffs will become mayor and others will set up June sixth’s general election.

Democratic Primary Runoff Bay St. Louis

In Bay St. Louis, two term mayor les Fillingame faces city Councilman Mike Favre in the democratic runoff.
The winner of that race will face republican Jeff Harding in the general election.

Republican Primary Runoff Diamondhead

In Diamondhead, Mayor Tommy Schafer faces councilman at large Ernie Knobloch.
The winner becomes mayor.

Democratic Primary Runoff Moss Point

In Moss Point, Democrats Billy Knight Senior and Mario King face off in the runoff.
The winner will face four challengers in the June sixth general election including incumbent Mayor Billy Broomfield.
Polls close at 7 pm.
