Presidential Election Preparations in Jackson County
In Jackson County, the Election Commission Office was buzzing as poll workers stopped in to get all the supplies they need for Tuesday and receive any last minute information.
New to the county this year will be electronic poll books. Election officials believe the poll books will cut down on the time it takes for a resident to vote. This is perfect timing as many are forecasting record turnouts for such a highly contested race. Jackson County Election Commissioner Danny Glaskox said, “We’re expecting a large turnout. We did prepare the poll books and tested 101, I believe, poll books. The company that provides the information and software for us sent down the final poll book data and we tested every single book before they go out.”
All polling locations will open at 7 tomorrow morning.
