Resident hit and killed in Gulfport

A 44-year-old man is pronounced dead on scene after being hit by a pick-up truck.
The accident took place on Lorraine and Seaway Road. The driver of the truck was headed northbound on Lorraine when he hit the pedestrian.
The investigation is still underway according to Gulfport police, but authorities tell News 25 the driver showed no sign of intoxication.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending family notification.
