Former President George H.W. Bush hospitalized

Former President George HW Bush has been admitted to a Houston hospital.

Family spokesman Jim Mcgrath says the former president was hospitalized after contracting an infection that spread to his blood.

The statement says the 93-year-old was admitted to Houston Methodist hospital Sunday morning, just a day after attending the funeral of his late wife Barbara.

Mcgrath says Bush is “responding to treatments and appears to be recovering.”
