Preps for John Kasich Finishing Up
John Kasich supporters from across the Gulf Coast will be packing into Café Climb to hear the GOP presidential candidate speak.
Café Climb and Climb CDC have been busy the past few days preparing for the Ohio governor’s arrival. Kasich’s stop on the Gulf Coast isn’t his first in Mississippi. It’s also not a GOP presidential candidate’s first visit to the Gulf Coast.
For supporters, it’s a chance to see their candidate in person. For students at Climb CDC, it is exposure to the presidential political process.
Marquez Singleton with Climb CDC said, “It’s a big opportunity for us because we get our students a chance to be exposed to the campaign process with Governor Kasich coming in. We’re very excited to be able to host this event.”
Harrison County chairman for the Kasich Campaign Billy Hewes said, “I think that’s the whole beauty of having these candidates coming to our area so we can see them firsthand. We can get a sense of not so much what their message is, but kind of who they are and what they’re about. That really helps people say ‘you know what, I thought I liked this guy and now I really do or maybe I’ll look a little bit more.’”
Governor Kasich’s event will start at 11 tomorrow at Café Climb.
