Preparing for Conference USA takeover at MGM Park

Competition is tight between the 12 teams in Conference USA as the top 8 will earn a spot in the conference tournament. That tournament is slated to take place at MGM Park later this month.
Today, News 25 got the first look at the roadside banners which will welcome the tournament crowds which have been as large as 17,000 in the past.
Officials with the City of Biloxi say they’re preparing to ramp up the public’s awareness of the potential impact of the tournament which is set to take place annually at MGM Park for the next three years.
Not only will the Coast receive exposure through ESPN’s coverage of the games, but the tournament’s success could also become a valuable investment in charities from across the Coast. Biloxi Public Affairs Manager Vincent Creel said, “One of the great things about the tournament is in addition to bringing great notice to our community, it’s also going to be a chance for local nonprofits to make money to help their goals in our community. Loaves and Fishes, Back Bay Mission, just a countless number of groups that have been partnered up with each game. For every ticket that’s sold, each one of those charities stands to get one dollar.”
Single game tickets will go on sale after the top 8 Conference USA teams are announced on May 20th, but tournament passes are currently available for $165.
