PRCC soccer calls game twice in overtime

In the midst of a global pandemic, Mississippi junior colleges might have found a way to play football in the fall, but soccer had to wait until the spring.

If anything has ever been worth the wait, it was yesterday’s double-header sweep for Pearl River.

Starting with the women’s game against Jones College. Lady Wildcats win that one 1-0 in overtime over the sixth ranked Lady Bobcats.

In the ensuring men’s game, same match up. 18th ranked Wildcats take down seventh ranked Jones 2-1 in overtime.

Unrelated to that, several Wildcats earning player of the week honors from the MACCC, starting with the two keepers Bay High alum John Bowman for the men’s team and Gulfport alum Azaria Breaux for the women’s team.

On the baseball diamond, Landon Gartman has been unreal this season, earning his fourth pitcher of the week award.
