PRCC football/ Picayune alum Elijah Jenkins commits to Arkansas Pine Bluff

Pearl River three-year football standout Elijah Jenkins committed to Arkansas Pine Bluff, which was the first Division I program to offer him earlier this month.

During his 24 games in Poplarville, the 6’0” 230-pound linebacker posted 76 tackles and seven-and-a-half sacks to go along with a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.

Hailing from Picayune, Jenkins starred on a Maroon Tide defense that went all the way to 2019 5A state championships game, finishing his senior season with a mark of 14-1.

Jenkins ended up with a second HBCU D1 offer from Mississippi Valley State.
