Prayers for Courtney

In July 2009, Courtney Hubbard, who lives in Ocean Springs, received the diagnosis that nearly one in eight women will receive in their lifetime.
Courtney, a 31-year-old wife and mother of twin six-year-olds and a four-year-old, was diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive form of breast cancer that would need immediate attention.
Sunday, dozens of friends and family gathered at Fort Maurepas Park to join in prayer in support of the Hubbard family. Pastor Mike Barnett with First Baptist Church of Ocean Springs said, “As you can see we had a marvelous turn out for people who love Courtney. The Hubbard family is a blessing to our community. They love the Lord. They are fine Christian people and our community loves them, but this showed our loved for them, but also we wanted to beseech the Lord for her strength and to minister to her in this time and her illness.”
Years later, Courtney continues to fight with the help and support of the Ocean Springs community.
