Powerball Jackpot nears a billion dollars

Many locals are getting in on the chance to win millions as the Powerball jackpot nears in on a billion dollars.

The Powerball jackpot was jumped up to over $900 million after there was no winner Saturday night. The Mega Millions pot is expecting to grow to $640 million for Tuesday’s drawing.

Fellow locals are clutching their tickets in hopes they have the winning digits, sharing what they would do with the big bucks, some have hopes to help give back. Kenneth Starks said, “If I can hit that, I definitely would be retired tomorrow, you know off the road, after 33 years. And the Mega-Millions is 560 million or something like that, that’ll work to”

James May said, “I’m a big animal lover person. So, I would actually get a place for adopting dogs and having a non-kill shelter.”
