Powerball Jackpot increases after no winner announced

The Powerball Jackpot has increased after there was no winner in Wednesday night’s drawing.

The jackpot surges to an estimated $700 million. No ticket matched all the winning Powerball numbers, leaving the prize pool to grow even larger ahead of the next game.

The numbers selected were 31,59,62,65, and 68 with the red Powerball number being 5.

Preliminary data from the Multi-State Lottery Association, which helps facilitate the Powerball Lottery, shows Powerball sales are 40 percent higher than they were at this point last year.

The next drawing for the Powerball will be Saturday, August 23.
