Powerball jackpot continues to rise

The Powerball is getting more interesting right before the holidays.

No one won the jackpot again in Monday’s drawing. It’s now expected to reach $1.25 billion by Wednesday’s drawing.

This marks only the second time this year a jackpot north of a billion dollars has been up for grabs.

Even if the winner takes the money as a lump sum, it’s still $572 million before taxes.

The odds of winning are more than 290 million to one.
