CTA needs help identifying vandals breaking glass on new tramway

The $18 million Coast Transit Authority tramway has only been open since January — but vandals already have been at work. Suspect in officer-involved shooting in Gulfport dies

The suspect shot in Gulfport during a narcotics stop has died, Harrison County Coroner Brian Switzer confirmed. Switzer said 22-year-old George Jones III was taken to the Singing River Gulfport emergency room, where he was pronounced dead at 10:47. Jones had multiple gunshot wounds, Switzer said.
