Port City Sounders play Saturday against AFC Mobile
The Port City Sounders will focus on AFC Mobile in a match-up Saturday that determines the seeding for the Gulf Coast Premier League Cup.
If the Sounders win, they will host the semi-final on July 26th. If they lose or tie, they’ll host the quarterfinal on July 21st.
Sounders Coach Henrik Madsen knows home field advantage benefits his club as they are undefeated at home this season. “Home field is obviously huge. It’s great to have a stadium like the Herbert Wilson where it’s nice and enclosed. It makes a good environment for the players to play in. It’s been great. We are hoping to come out. The boys have put in a good week of work. So, we should be ready.”
Aside from the undefeated home record, the Sounders have lost only one game and tied one game the entire regular season.
