Popp’s Ferry Bridge reopen after morning collision with a barge

The Popp’s Ferry bridge is back open to vehicular traffic after an early morning collision with a barge.

According to the City of Biloxi, around 1 a.m. a tug boat pushing a barge hit the bridge and damaged the navigation lights used for marine traffic. This was determined after an early morning inspection.

The City of Biloxi is working to have the navigation lights repaired.

Bridge is currently closed to marine traffic.
