Popp’s Ferry Bridge back open

According to the City of Biloxi, the Popp’s Ferry Bridge experienced an electrical shortage caused by the rain in the area yesterday.

The electrical shortage affected a switch that dealt with the closing of the bridge and is currently being looked into for repairs.

Crews worked over an hour and a half this morning to get the bridge back closed. One side of the bridge was stuck in the upright position.

The bridge is now back open to traffic and is flowing smoothly.
