Poplarville woman from Kiln victim of deadly boat crash on Jourdan River

A 23-year-old woman died Sunday in a boating accident on Jourdan River.

Hancock County Coroner Jeff Hair identified the victim as Savannah Davis of Poplarville.

According to her Facebook page, she was originally from the Kiln and attended Hancock High.

The collision involved two boats. The Department of Marine Resources is investigating the cause of the crash. WXXV has reached out to DMR for comment.

Friends and family took to Facebook to say their goodbyes to Davis. One woman called her the rock of the family and a favorite auntie.
