Poplarville escapes Stone on the road 22 to 21 in Week Two

The Poplarville Hornets came into week two for a matchup against the Stone Tomcats at A. L. May Memorial Stadium on Mississippi Gulf Coasts’ college campus.

It seemed like the Tomcats hit a wall in the second half as they would not score again.

Poplarville’s defense comes up with big stops and Poplarville would come all the way back to win the game 22 to 21.

Poplarville (1-1) will hit the road again and travel to Kiln to play Hancock (0-2) next week while Stone (1-1) will be back at home for a matchup with St. Martin (2-0) on September 12th.
