Poplarville breaks first place tie with 31-23 win at Pass Christian

PASS CHRISTIAN, Miss. (WXXV) — In a game that will likely go a long way in determining the Region 8-4A title, the Hornets jumped out to a 24-10 halftime lead on the road at Pass Christian.

The Pirates answered the call in the second half, cutting the deficit to 24-23 midway through the fourth quarter, but it was too little, too late, as the Hornets came away with the 31-23 victory.
