Polls across South Mississippi open on Tuesday for Court of Appeals Dist.5 runoff

On Tuesday polls across South Mississippi will open for the runoff election to decide the next judge for the Court of Appeals District Five.

Both Amy St. Pe’ and Jennifer Schloegel were the top two finishers in a competitive three way contest on November 5th, with St. Pe’ earning 35 percent of the vote followed by Schloegel with 33 percent. Both candidates took part in the WXXV Election Special and gave their pitches as to why they believed they deserved the next seat for Court of Appeals.

If you plan on heading to the polls on Tuesday it’s important to remember that you must of been registered for the November 5th general election to participate. If you mail in an absentee ballot it must be postmarked by November 26th to count.

Polls across South Mississippi open on Tuesday from 7am to 7pm.
