Police say 16-year-old considered dangerous now in custody

Gulfport Police on Monday said that a 16-year-old wanted on felony counts of shooting into a dwelling and shooting into a vehicle is in custody.

Police announced on social media about 9 p.m. that Kameron Samije Erving was located and arrested. Police also thanked the community for tips that led to his capture.

Erving had multiple prior contacts with Gulfport Police related to burglary, motor vehicle theft, assault and firearm complaints.

Police said other people involved in the incident with Erving are also in custody.
