All clear given to end lockdown at D’Iberville High School

News 25 can confirm that law enforcement agencies are working an incident at D’Iberville High School.

D’Iberville Police Chief Shannon Nobles said the school did receive a threat by phone.

“It was a very complex threat, which some of the details included detonation devices,” Noble said. “The school, following the crisis plan, went to immediate lockdown.”

The lockdown as initiated just after 12 p.m. and Nobles said no active threats have been identified as of 1:37 p.m. Multiple law enforcement agency response teams were activated to conduct a tactical sweep of the entire campus.

The all-clear was given just after 2 p.m. Nobles said the investigation will now move toward identifying the caller.

Police asked for parents’ patience and trust as they worked to confirm it is an unsubstantiated threat to the campus.

Parents are waiting outside the school for children who are still locked inside as law enforcement works the incident. One parent told WXXV that they received an email about a threat at the school and that students were in a safe room during the lockdown.

Biloxi Police confirmed that their bomb squad was asked to stand by but have not responded to the incident.

Harrison County Sheriff’s Office also is assisting in the incident.
