Police presence on Hwy 90 in Gulfport

There was a significant police presence on Highway 90 at Courthouse Road early this morning.

Police scanner traffic originally indicated the activity is a result of a high-speed chase, but Gulfport PD Public Information Officer Jason Ducre confirmed there was no high-speed chase.

According to communications on the scanner, the activity happened around 3 a.m.

Two cars were involved in a wreck and, according to Sgt. Ducre, there were no injuries reported.

AMR was on the scene and did not need to transport anyone to the hospital.
