Darian Atkinson, accused of killing Officer Robert McKeithen, arrested in Wiggins

According to the Mississippi Association of Chiefs of Police, Darian Atkinson is in custody after being arrested in Wiggins. Atkinson is charged with capital murder in the shooting death of Biloxi Police Officer Robert McKeithan.

On Sunday, Officer McKeithen was shot outside the city’s public safety center building before being transported to Merit Health Hospital where he was pronounced dead in the emergency room.
