Police Chase Arrest in Jackson County

A Moss Point man is in jail after a traffic pursuit Sunday morning.
A Jackson County deputy began chasing a car driven by 23-year-old Jataurus Carter with two other passengers inside on Highway 63. Officials say Carter ran a red light and sped through traffic as he traveled toward Moss Point.
After hitting a brick church sign on Martin Luther King Drive, Carter ran on foot and allegedly dropped a loaded handgun on the ground.
