Police: Body found floating in pond near Pascagoula Hospital on Christmas Eve

PASCAGOULA, Miss. (WXXV) — Authorities are investigating a body found near Singing River Health System’s Pascagoula Hospital on Christmas Eve.

Police say dispatchers received a call around 11:13 a.m. Thursday about a body floating in a pond near the service road parallel to Highway 90 and south of Singing River Hospital.

When officers arrived, they found the body of a Black female in the water.

The Pascagoula Police Department has identified the woman as 65-year-old Deloise Moody of Pascagoula.
