Plane Crash Kills Six
Mississippians who were killed in a small airplane crash near Tuscaloosa, Alabama, have been identified. Memphis defense attorney Steve Farese identified his Nephew Dr Jason Farese and his wife, Dr. Lea Farese, both were dentists in Oxford. The piper pa 31, a small plane, went down in a park across from Tuscaloosa regional airport killing 6 people. A distress call came from the pilot reporting engine trouble right before the plane crashed. Three men and three women were on board, heading from Kissimmee, Florida to Oxford, Mississippi. Mayor Bobby Herndon of Northport Alabama, “I tell folks I cry easily anyway. One victim is too many, But to have several is, is ah… and you don’t know the ages and things like that, but just any loss of life is bad.” The FAA is investigating the crash.
