Pizza delivery carries on during winter weather

When temperatures reach below freezing, like the past two days, schools and businesses begin to close and most families make it a point to stay inside where it’s warm.
Because of that, some businesses are hurt, but Domino’s Pizza in Gulfport say they actually benefit. Despite the arctic blast, Domino’s workers braved the conditions to make a living.
General Manager Brianna Eaton made sure that her delivery drivers were prepared to take on the icy roads. “We did some safety meetings with our drivers, preaching the following distance, looking out for the ice, things like that. Just making sure that everybody was comfortable driving in the conditions. We had a lot of kids calling whose parents were probably at work or otherwise involved. A lot of kids were home since school was out. We had a lot of those and school is out again today so we will have that again today too.”
Eaton told News 25 that Domino’s Pizza tries to be the first open and the last to close no matter the conditions they are delivering in.
