Pirates ready to raid Bay St. Louis

Ahoy mateys! Pirates will once again be taking over the Bay this weekend.

News 25 spoke to pirates Captain Long Beard and Lady Claiborne about the planned mutiny. They have plenty of events scheduled starting with an adult pub crawl/ scavenger hunt tomorrow evening.

Then on Saturday, there will be fun for all ages with a cardboard boat race, kids walking parade, pirate costume contest, play zone, craft vendors, pirate invasion golf cart parade, and fireworks to top it all off.

You won’t have to walk the plank if you’re not dressed in pirate attire, but it’s strongly encouraged. Lady Claiborne Sandy Walsh said, “They’re going to see this. They’re going to see people all dressed up and they’ll see plenty of creativity in the different costumes.”

The event is put on by the Mystic Krewe of the Seahorse, an organization founded to support the economic development of the Coast.

The proceeds are given to local charitable organizations in Hancock County.
