Pink trash cans along Highway 90

If you’ve been driving down Highway 90 in Harrison County you might have noticed a little more color along the beaches. That’s because Harrison County has painted the trash cans pink.
The reason for this is because October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the bins were in need of a new paint job.
Harrison County Supervisor Beverly Martin tells News 25 she hopes the pink trash cans will remind women that early detection is key and to have their screening.
