Pink Lotus Hosts Cha Cha for Ta Tas for Breast Cancer Awareness

Thursday night, the Pink Lotus Project hosted Cha-Cha for the Ta-Tas to raise money and awareness for breast cancer.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Pink Lotus reminds us that about one in eight women will get breast cancer in their lifetime. At Thursday night’s event, attendees line danced under the instruction of a professional dancer. Tickets were $10 to attend and all proceeds will be donated to Memorial Hospital Foundation’s breast imaging fund.

Jocelyn Lane, the founder of Pink Lotus, says, “We came up with this idea because breast cancer of course affects women across the spectrum. It doesn’t matter what color you are, where you come from, your income, it affects everyone. So with personal my experience, with my family members being survivors of breast cancer and friends being survivors of breast cancer, we wanted to spotlight how women fight through this disease and we wanted to also give back locally.”
