Picayune starts 6A play with 38-36 road win over Pascagoula

PASCAGOULA, Miss. (WXXV) — Picayune traveled across South Mississippi to take on the Pascagoula Panthers, and the Maroon Tide came out on top of an intense contest with a 38-36 victory to start conference play 1-0.

The game turned into a back-and-forth contest in the second quarter, with the Maroon Tide leading 35-34 heading into the locker room for halftime. A quiet — but competitive — second half kept everyone on the edge of their seats.

Up next, Picayune will host Hancock, while Pascagoula will travel to Long Beach. Both district showdowns will kick-off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 17th.
