Picayune man arrested for meth found in Cheetos bag

A Picayune man is behind bars after officers found meth in a Cheetos bag inside his car.

Jeffrey Effler is now charged with felony trafficking of a controlled substance. Picayune police say they pulled Effler over for a seatbelt violation just before 1 yesterday afternoon.

Effler later gave officers consent to search his vehicle and that’s when they found an amount of meth consistent with trafficking hidden in that Cheetos bag.
