Picayune investigates complaint, arrests two on drug charges
Picayune Police made two arrests after receiving complaints about drugs being sold at a vacant lot on Fern Drive.
According to a press release, the department received a complaint Tuesday through the Neighborhood Enhancement Team about illegal drug sales and use at the Fern Drive location.
When officers went to the lot, they saw a vehicle parked in there. Michael Bulluck, 21, was in the driver’s seat and Desmon Adams, 22, was standing at the driver’s side door. Officers could smell the odor of marijuana and searched the vehicle.
Officers found an AR-style pistol next to the driver’s seat and marijuana in a black plastic bag and a smaller amount in the same vicinity, as well as a digital scale in the vehicle.
Adams was charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
Bulluck was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute while in possession of a firearm.
