Picayune alum Cam Thomas commits to McNeese State after three years at MGCCC

Mississippi Gulf Coast running back Cam Thomas made it official this afternoon, giving his verbal commitment to McNeese State.

The third-year sophomore out of Picayune had one of the best rushing campaigns in the country this season, ranking seventh with 824 yards and eight touchdowns with no fumbles lost.

Back in September, the former News 25 Student Athlete of the Week broke the school record for longest run, 99 yards to the house against East Mississippi.

During his three-year career with the Bulldogs, Thomas rushed for more than 1,600 yards and 13 touchdowns on five yards per carry.
