Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs gearing up for Super Bowl 59

We are just two sleeps away from Super Bowl 50 in the great city of New Orleans.

The Kansas City Chiefs are the NFL’s standard when it comes to winning championships. Travis Kelce says he has wanted to the standard since watching the Patriots over the last 20 years.

“I used to look at the Patriots like that,” Kelce said. “I used to have the desire to have the success that they had. To be at the top of the moment and to be, year in and year out, the standard in the NFL. Yeah, it’s come a long way I guess.”

Meanwhile, the Philadelphia Eagles, led by quarterback Jalen Hurts, are looking to be the ones standing in the end on Sunday. If the Eagles find the win column they will capture their second Super Bowl in franchise history.

“You know you want to treat it just as you treat every other game, every other moment, the is kind of the approach.” Hurts said. “There’s a lot of wind around you there’s a lot of external things that really don’t matter in the sense of what we are coming to accomplish. So, just keep the main thing that main thing.”

In the final media session of the week before they take the field for Super Bowl 50, both Jalen Hurts and Travis Kelce spoke on just how difficult it will be for either team to come out on top.

“It’s a great team that has been doing it for a good minute now,” Hurts said. “Everybody plays hard so you can tell that they have a good thing going, been having a good thing going, been able to evolve over the years and still find ways to win and be efficient on defense. It’ll be a great challenge.”

“This is going to be the best defense that we have played all year,” Kelce said. “They play so well together and it’s going to be a fun challenge. I love going up against the best. It’s why I play the game. Sure enough we have two Goliaths going at it at the Super Bowl.”

Hurts says that at the end of the day, this is what dreams are made of.

“We have been able to get to this point, you know, this is what you play for,” Hurts said. “You play for opportunities like this, for moments like this, and it’ll be good to leave it all out there on the field.”
