Phase III of Biloxi Arbor Landing Construction Project approved

Phase III of the Biloxi Arbor Landing Construction Project has been approved.

The good news about the $28 million project, located off Popp’s Ferry Road on Ellzey Drive, comes as phase II of construction is moving right along.

The completed project will include 16 different buildings consisting of 174 apartment units, making it the largest active construction site in the City of Biloxi.

The apartments are owned by Arbor, who already owns several apartment complexes on the Gulf Coast.

Community Development Director Jerry Creels says some of the units in phase II are expected to be complete later this year, which is good as he sees Biloxi continuing to grow. “We have subdivisions under construction right now. Residential has really been booming the past several years. These builders, Horton Homes, DSLD, Butler and Adams, they barely get a house started and its already sold. As long as that momentum continues then we are bringing more people to Biloxi. We’re giving them a place to live. It’s a great place to live work and play. We say that all the time.”

The city has not yet received plans or construction costs for phase III of the project, but it does include four buildings and 50 units that will be located right behind the Walmart Neighborhood Market.
