Perkinston man dies in single-vehicle crash on Highway 53

A Perkinston man died over the weekend in a one-vehicle crash, Mississippi Highway Patrol reports.

MHP said that about 7 p.m. Friday, troopers responded to a crash on Highway 53 in Harrison County.

A 2014 Chevy pickup driven by 41-year-old Jeremy Hariel of Perkinston was southbound on Highway 53 near Road 401 when his vehicle left the roadway and hit a fence. Hariel received fatal injuries in the crash.

MHP is investigating the cause.
