Pennies for Petal Campaign

Harrison County School District is hosting a Pennies for Petal campaign to help the Petal community and school district with multiple schools accepting supplies and monetary donations.
They’re hoping people will donate more than just pennies, but any amount will be accepted and appreciated.
Woolmarket Elementary School is one of the many schools accepting donations for victims. Woolmarket Elementary School Principal Dr. Dawn Hearn says being able to help those affected by the tornado is not only important to the school district, but the students as well. “Our students remember a time back with Hurricane Katrina when we needed help and even with the flooding here when we needed help in Woolmarket with that and so they wanted to pitch in and help others in need.”
All monetary donations will be converted to gift cards for those in need. The drive will run through February 3rd.
