Pedestrian struck and killed by train in Pascagoula

A pedestrian was hit and killed by a train in Pascagoula around 7:30 last night.

Pascagoula Police Captain Doug Adams tells News 25 a 56-year-old black male was on the tracks when he was struck by the westbound train, just east of Chicot Street and Highway 90.

The victim was pronounced dead on the scene. Police are withholding the victim’s name until family is notified and are still investigating the accident.
