Pedestrian killed on Highway 49

A Biloxi woman is dead after being hit by a vehicle on Highway 49 early this morning.
Police say 50-year-old Mary Swaw was walking in the left hand lane of Highway 49 just north of Highway 53 shortly before 4:30 this morning when she was struck by a 67-year-old Saucier female traveling southbound on Highway 49 in a 2015 Hyundai Sonata.
Swaw was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the Hyundai was not injured. This crash is still under investigation.
