Pearl River School District investigating reports of employee who ‘may have engaged in inappropriate behavior’

In a Facebook post, the Pearl River County School District announced that they received a report on February 26, 2024 that a district employee may have engaged in inappropriate behavior.

According to the post, district administration began an immediate investigation into the matter and notified the School District Police Department, Mississippi Department of Education, Sheriff’s Department, and School Board Attorney.

The School District has been working closely with the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department during the on-going investigation involving the former employee. Since this is a personnel matter, the school is limited regarding what they can share publicly.

The post goes on to say: “We want to thank our PRCHS Administrators, School Police Officers, and Sheriff’s Department for responding quickly in this matter.  The safety of our students is our top priority.”
