Pearl River Rodeo Team nabs second-place finish

The Pearl River Rodeo team earned a second-place finish at the Three Rivers College Rodeo and the women’s team captured sixth place.

The Wildcats were led in the team roping event by sophomore Kason Davis and his younger brother, Trenton Davis.

The duo captured second on the weekend after times of 7.8 seconds and 7.6 seconds.

Lane Westrope took home third place in bull riding, the first for Pearl River in the event this season.

Laren Booty was the lone placement on the women’s side of things, earning fourth place in breakaway roping. She had a first round run of 3.2 seconds and followed it up with a second-round run of 3.7 seconds.
