Pearl River County Superintendent announces retirement
In Pearl River County, Superintendent John Shows announced his retirement on Saturday, effective at the end of this school year.
Shows assumed the top educator role in Pearl River County back in 2023 and has 26 years of educational experience.
The district earned an ‘A’ rating for the first time in district history under Shows’ leadership. The school board will now begin the process of searching for a new superintendent in the weeks and months to come.
