Pearl River County Sheriff’s Office warning residents of scam

PEARL RIVER COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- There’s a scam going around right now involving the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say that scammers are making calls and are often using the names Johnson, Anthony, Howell, and Jason Green.

The department wants to remind the public that they will never demand a payment or threaten legal action over the phone.

Never provide personal information, bank details, or payment.
