Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department takes part in anti-trafficking training

The Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department is partnering with SERT Ministries to keep children safe.

In the final week of June, every single deputy, investigator, narcotics and administrator attended a training event led by the SERT Ministries anti-trafficking team.

Throughout the week, there were classroom presentations, stat breakdowns, scenarios, and hands-on anti-trafficking operations.

Sheriff David Allison says he is grateful for the efforts his deputies and investigators go through to keep residents safe.

He adds training and information gathering on human trafficking is the first and crucial step to a strong response that leads to apprehension and prosecution of these criminals.
