Pearl River County recognized for ‘A’ rated school district
PEARL RIVER COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- The Pearl River County School District was honored with a big recognition Wednesday.
The district was given the Beacon Award by the State School Board Association.
This recognizes the district as ‘A’ rated, meaning all schools earn a ‘C’ or higher, also maintaining good standing with the State Department of Education Accreditation.
Superintendent Jeremy Weir and Assistant Superintendent Steven Engle were in attendance to accept the award.
The district says they are grateful to the dedication of their school community remain committed to improvement and providing the highest quality education.
