Pearl River County Hospital unveils new helipad

This morning, the Pearl River County Hospital unveiled their new helipad.

Mississippi Power partnered with the hospital to move poles back and move lines underground so that the air care flights have safer access to the helipad.

The helipad will allow the hospital to better serve the area with more frequent flights. An emergency helicopter landed on the new helipad to showcase how much easier it is to access and land. MS Power Western Coast Division Area Manager Meg Payment said, “The helipad is important for the hospital because it allows them to better serve their patients and provide better customer services to this area. So, we’re happy to partner with them.”

The project took about three weeks to complete.
