Pearl River Community College women’s basketball sets sights for NJCAA Tournament after receiving first at-large bid since 2003

After a program record 27 win season, the Lady Wildcats earned an at-large bid to the NJCAA Tournament for the first time since 2003.

Only 8 are given out to teams throughout the country.

PRCC earned the 13th overall seed and will take on Eastern Arizona in the opening round of the tournament on March 26th in Wyoming.

While there is still work to be done, head coach Scotty Fletcher spoke on what the season – although unfinished – already means to him by saying, “This means more to me than I can probably put in words…we grew up with a ball in one hand and a dream in the other. So, I think one day we will be able to look back on what this team accomplished…it’s something that you don’t take lightly.”
