Pearl River Community College men’s soccer prepares for NJCAA Soccer Championship
On Tuesday, PRCC held a selection show party to see where, and who, they would be playing in the upcoming NJCAA Soccer Championships.
The Wildcats were selected as a seven seed and will play Hartland Community College and Neosho County Community College next week in Huntsville, Alabama. PRCC midfielder Mark Peaden and forward Tiago Honorio spoke to WXXV sports director Jevan McCoskey just moments after the selection show and explained their excitement ahead of next weeks championship matches.
“We are really excited,” Ocean Springs high school alum Mark Peaden III said. “For a lot of us this is going to be some of our last games that we are ever going to play and we are going to be doing it at the highest level of JUCO soccer. We want to go and win it all. We have been talking about it all year. I am ready to get on the field and go play. I am ready to go and win those four games and ne the first national champion group.”
“Yeah honestly we can’t wait,” Tiago Honorio Jr. said. “We want to go there and represent Pearl River in a better way than we did last year. We can’t wait. It’s a great feeling.”
